I am the Co-Director of the STOR-i CDT and supervise a number of PhD students, five of whom are collaborating with various industrial partners. This theme of conducting research joint with industrial collaborators started during my PhD when I was part-funded by Unilever Research. Following this, I worked as an internal Statistical Consultant within Shell for several years before deciding to return to academia.

My research focuses primarily on the areas of multiscale modelling and non-stationary statistical signal processing, with much of my work concentrated on methodological developments for time series, change point and image processing problems. Whilst I have a particular interest in applying these methods to energy-related applications, other areas include everything from the analysis of hair styles to movement monitors.
