*R packages: Shiny* by Becky Killick
Data visualization has become an important tool for explaining
statistical concepts and for exploring complex data. This talk
introduces Shiny, an R package currently in beta, developed by RStudio
for building interactive web applications using R. These interactive
web applications are very useful as once created they allow
non-statisticians to explore data or statistical concepts interactively
without knowledge of R. In this talk I will introduce the power and
structure of the Shiny package, create some examples from scratch to
demonstrate ease of use and describe the current limitations.
