*R packages: Shiny* by Becky Killick

Data visualization has become an important tool for explaining statistical concepts and for exploring complex data. This talk introduces Shiny, an R package currently in beta, developed by RStudio for building interactive web applications using R. These interactive web applications are very useful as once created they allow non-statisticians to explore data or statistical concepts interactively without knowledge of R. In this talk I will introduce the power and structure of the Shiny package, create some examples from scratch to demonstrate ease of use and describe the current limitations.

Those wishing to be part of the beta testing themselves can sign up at: http://shiny.rstudio.org/
